Brazil, Holland, Germany and the USA remain in the hunt for the Olympic title as we head into the decisive round. All four are on 0 penalties in what is a delicately poised competition.
Team USA registered 3 clears while Holland also scored 3 clears while the team’s coach discarded Jur Vrieling’s score in round 2.
Brazil, who have one pair suspended (Stephan De Freitas Barchs with Landpeter do Feroleto), and Germany are relying on the experience of their team.
As for the individual competition, 11 riders currently share top spot with 0 penalties after the second qualifying round.
They are: Kent Farrington, Christian Ahlmann, Peder Fredricson, Maikel van der Vleuten, Harrie Smolders, Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, Doda de Miranda, Daniel Deusser, Sergio Alvarez Moya, Eric Lamaze and Pedro Veniss.
The third qualifying session is scheduled for today where we should start to get a clearer idea of who is in line for the Olympic crown.
