France and Sweden have qualified for the Olympics in 2012

France and Sweden will also take part in the Olympics in 2012, after good results in the European Championships for discipline. A silver medal for France with a final points score of 151.10, while Sweden finished fourth with 199.20. Gold medalists Germany had already qualified, while Great Britain qualified as host nation.
Five countries had already won a pass for the Olympics at the WEG 2010 which took place in Kentucky: Canada, New Zealand, USA, Germany and Belgium. So now there are eight nations who have secured a spot for London. The next qualifier meeting will be the Asia Pacific Eventing Championship, which will take place in Blenheim in England from the 8th to the 11th September. It will involve Group F (Africa and the Middle East) and G (South East Asia and Oceania). After the Asian Championships, the Panamerican games will take place in Guadalajara in Mexico from the 14th to 29th October and which a place will be up for grabs for the two best teams in Group D (North America) and E (Central and South America), excluding the USA and Canada.
