Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup double header in Switzerland and Poland.

Having rounded-up events from Saint Tropez, let’s focus our attention now on Switzerland and Poland, two countries which amongst other trials will both be staging legs of the Nations Cup.
Starting with San Gallo, Switzerland where Mario Stevens from Germany appears in good form ahead of the Nations Cup, winning the Preis des Longines over 1.50m with Baloubet (Balou du Rouet). Home rider Pius Schwizer with Living the Dream came second and Alain Jufer with Radja d’Artemis finished third.
Young Dutch rider Frank Schuttert rode to victory meanwhile in the Preis der Domus/ Walter Knoll with his mount Arc de Triomphe in a trial in two-phases over 1.45m. Martin Fuchs with PSG Future was second and Emma Augier de Moussac with Kanonja was third.
There was then a time trial over 1.40m, the Preis der Braurei Schutzengarte, which was won by Ireland’s Greg Patrick Breoderick with Mhs Automatic. The Irishman came ahead of Philipp Weishaupt with Lucky Luke 0 in second and Ignace Philips with Butterfly Chavannais in third.
With those trials behind us, all the attention now turns to the highly anticipated Nations Cup at 15.00. Germany will be going round the course designed by Gerard Lachat first and have fielded a star-studded team: Hans-Dieter Dreher with Embassy II, Mario Stevens with Brooklyn 17, Christian Ahlmann with Epleaser van T Heike and Ludger Beerbaum with Chiara 222.
The next nation to go round the course are the hosts: Steve Guerdat & Nino des Buissonnets, Romain Duguet & Quorida de Treho, Martin Fuchs & Clooney 51, Pius Schwizer & Amira. Great Britain will be the third nation: Holly Gillott & Dougie Douglas, Robert Whitaker & Catwalk IV, Jessica Mendoza & Spirit T, William Whitaker & Fandango.

6th Belgium – Pieter Devos & Dream of India Greenfield, Niels Bruynseels & Pommeau du Heup, Jos Verlooy & Domino, Gregory Wathelet & conrad de Hus.
7th France – Nicolas Delmotte & Number One D’Iso Un Prince, Aymeric de Ponnat & Armitages Boy, Roger Yves Bost & Pegase du Murier, Kevin Staut & Reveur de Hurtebise Hdc.
8th Ireland – Shane Breen & Golden Hawk, Greg Patrick Borderick & Mhs Going Global, Cian O’Connor & Good Luck, Bertram Allen & Romanov.
Let’s switch our attention now to Spot, Poland where there was a second place finish for Italian rider Emanuele Gaudiano with Cocoshynsky (Cornet Obolensky) in an international jumping competition over two phases. As for today, the Nations Cup leg begins at 14.00 and there are 13 nations taking part. This is the starting order: Germany, Norway, Turkey, France, Austria, Belgium, Holland, Great Britain, Ukraine, Denmark, Sweden, Poland and Russia.
