GCT: Cannes leg ready to go

The fifth leg of the Global Champions Tour is set to start on the French Riviera. Cannes will host the event from tomorrow morning. Equestrian sport at the highest level and high-class glamour are the main characteristics of the this leg to be held at the Stade des Hesperides, only 50 metres from the famous Croisette and the yachting marina.  The course deisgner will once again be Uliano Vezzani, just as course organiser will remain François Bourey.
The event offers one of the richest in terms of prize money in the world, even going back to the inaugural event in collaboration with Global Champions Tour, the original International Show Jumping of Cannes in 2000 was the richest event with prize money totaling $1.4 million.Anticipation is high to see the cream of the circuit and Cannes veterans such as Edwina Tops Alexander, Pius Schwizer and Steve Guerdat, Ben Maher and new entry Rodrigo Pessoa.
