Gianni Govoni flies the flag for Italy

The third week of the Tuscany Tour has come to a close with a victory for Italian star Gianni Govoni. 54 horse and rider combinations were whittled down to 14 for the second round in the CSI3* Gold Tour GP as the Azzurri athlete triumphed in a time of 35.89 seconds and what’s more with no penalties.
Govoni beat a number of internationally renowned stars such as Olivier Philippaerts who was second with Ikker and Lisa Nooren who had to settle for third spot with VDL Groep Sabech d’Ha. Frenchman Roger-Yves Bost just missed out on a podium finish in fourth.
The Silver Tour GP on the other hand went to Colombia’s Rene Lopez with Con Dios III thanks to a faultless run in a time of 38.22 seconds. Sweden’s Erika Lickhammer was second with Bonaire while Lisa Nooren was again third with VDL Groep Urane de Talma.
