The Global Champions Tour (GCT), organised by Jan Tops, gets going again today. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever with new city destinations as part of the tour schedule. What is more, a massive 9 million euros of prize money is up for grabs for victory in the final.
The first new stage of the GCT tour is in Anwerp and will play host to the opener of the 2014 season. The Belgian city is renowned for its beauty and is home to artists Rubens and van Dijck but for the coming days the equestrian event will be taking precedence with the likes of Jos Lansink, Philippe Le Jeune, François Mathy, and the Italian riders Luca Moneta and Emanuele Gaudiano all in action.
The trials can be watched in LIVE STREAMING as usual via the official Longines Global Champions Tour website. Finally, Paris and Shanghai are the other two new city destinations in this increasingly important and, above all, global event.
