Hans Horn optimistic for Italy in Gijon

The USA will lead off the penultimate stage of the Nations Cup on Saturday:
The starting order for tomorrow’s Nations Cup in Gijon will be as follows: 1. USA, 2. Belgium, 3. Germany, 4. France, 5. Great Britain, 6. Spain, 7. Ireland, 8. Italy, 9. The Netherlands and 10. Portugal. Only the Italian team will be eligible for Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup™ Jumping points in Europe Division 2.
American coach Katie Prudent said: “We have not been lucky with the draw but we have to accept it. We are a young side so it is not easy to go out first.“
British coach Rob Hoeckstra was much more positive: “The draw is not important, we have two horses making their debut but we have four great riders so we are not concerned where we start.“
Italian coach Hans Horn was also satisfied: “Seventh place is excellent for us, we have four good riders and one of them is a future promise so we can do well.“
