Health Ministry promotes the Palio di Legnano
As announced, this morning the government presented the order concerning popular public or private events involving the use of horses outside of officially authorised structures or racetracks. Many politicians and political institutions intervened on behalf of the various Palio, such as Under Secretary for Work, Health and Social Politics, the honourable Francesca Martini, and the FISE president, Andrea Paulgross, while Legnano Council was represented by Director General Marina Ristori, the only participant from a city which hosts Palio, along with the mayor of Siena’s spokesman. Mayor of Legnano, Lorenzo Vitali was obviously delighted with the order that promotes the Palio, said: “In the 64 years of the Palio, Legnano has invested as a priority on the quality and safety aspects. For over 20 years the regulations foresee a veterinary commission and from 1999 horse have been checked for doping use.“My administration intends to continue along the path set out so far, increasing the safety aspect further, to the point of guaranteeing a level of excellence for the public, jockeys and horses in the Palio.” Legnano Equestrian World
