Let’s look at what happened this week in the USA, where the home riders dominated. The stand-out performance was in California where Mandy Porter was the winner of the Temecula Valley National Horse Show Grand Prix riding Milano; a combination that we have already seen involved in the Nations Cup.It was a home victory at Temecula who is based in San Diego and who had already in the week won Speed Classic with Voltaire 1.40m and 1.45m.
The route set up by the French Frèderic Cottier saw only six pairs make the jump-off, with Mandy Porter on the 13-year-old Swedish gelding owned by Abigail Archer which stopped the stopwatch at 35.351 seconds.
Both second and third place went to Shawn Casady who competed with two horses: Cicomein VDL and Campitello 5.
