Horse Breeding: Zangersheide heads to Deauville, France.
The renowned Belgian studbook Zangersheide will be making an appearance in Deauville, France later this week.
In one of the most famous equestrian areas in France, the studbook will be putting on display some its prized possessions in what is the second international breeding event of the season following the one organised by Marl in February.
It all begins on Saturday the 7th of March with the presentation of the mounts in the morning and the first free jump trials in the afternoon for the 3 and 4 year-old stallions. On the Sunday, the 3 and 4 year-old mounts will be on display once more for the second phase of the free-jump while soon after the stage will be reserved exclusively to the 4 year-old stallions with riders. The approved 5 year-old stallions will also be strutting their stuff with their riders.
Let’s take a look now at some of the most interesting talents. This includes the offspring to Conrad de Hus: Chicago Vebe Z, a 3 year-old bay stallion who is the grand-son to Chacco Blue thanks to his dam line and Cheikh du Mas Garnier, a 2012 selle française grand-son to Quidam de Revel.
Other ones to watch out for are the offspring to Casall Ask (Call me Casall), L’Arc de Triomphe (Admiral Sunheup), Arko III (Aribo de Cantraie Z), Numero Uno (Anky la Marguerite), Andiamo Z (Extra Special), Calvados Z (Calvaton Z and Casino Royal), Cassini I (Candetti) and Diamant de Semilly (Qupidon de Bavoz).
The name of Vangog du Mas Garnier also stands out, son to one of the most in form stallions right now: Cornet Obolensky, whose name is always a guarantee of quality. Aragon la Garette Z could also be another name to remember and the 4 year-old bay is son to the famous stallion Air Jordan Z.
