IJRC seeking changes to Olympic format
The International Jumping Riders Club (IJRC) have put forward an Olympic Jumping Format Proposal for the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2020.
The idea stemmed from the latest debate at the FEI Sport Forum in Lausanne and led to a detailed proposal to alter the current show-jumping format.
A number of world class riders have backed the proposal while a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the International Jumping Riders Club and FEI.
One of the aims of the proposal is to increase the number of nations and pairs taking part at the Olympics.
International Jumping Riders Club has uploaded a number of interviews with international riders having their say while you can read the proposal here: http://www.ijrc.org/olympic-jumping-format-proposal/
