Italian Horse Racing: Priore the favourite for the Dubai Day.

Today marks the first of two special Sundays for horse racing in the Italian capital.
It all begins today, the 10th of May, with the Dubai Day and the highly anticipated “Presidente della Repubblica Prize”. The action just keeps on coming, as the week after fans will then be treated to the fascinating Derby Day.
Focusing back to today’s big event, several thoroughbreds will be out competing at the Capannelle Racetrack in Rome and doing their best to get their hands on the € 242.000 prize money that has been put on offer by the organisers.
The favourite is Priore Philip with rider Dario Vargiu. The pair have an impressive record with 12 wins from 14 races. Looking to cause an upset though are Cleo Fan ridden by Umberto Rispoli sponsored by Dioscuri and coached by Stefano Botti. Watch out for the wild-card Wake Forest who on its day can always have its say.
It all promises to be a fantastic day which will no doubt attract large crowds; a scene that will surely then be repeated the week after for the Derby.
