Italian rider Gaudiano on a roll in Portugal ahead of LGCT GP.

Italian rider Emanuele Gaudiano was in sensational form yesterday at Estoril, Cascais picking up a win and a podium finish in the Portuguese leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour.
His great day started by claiming a third place finish with Cocoshynsky in the time-trial over 1.45m which was won by Belgian rider Gregory Wathelet with Egano van the Slogenhof.
Not happy with just a podium finish, in the feature trial of the day the Italian turned up the heat and managed to win the Mercedes-Benz Portugal over 1.50/1.55m with KWPN Admara 2 (Padinus).
Gaudiano, a forest ranger when not out competing at international show-jumping events, finished ahead of second ranked Marco Kutscher with Cornet’s Cristallo and third ranked Lauren Hough with Cornet 39.
The fact that both competitions are worth points towards the overall FEI ranking list will have made the Italian’s day even sweeter.
