It was a day full of immense satisfaction, and above all victories, for the Italian riders taking part at the 5 star Piazza Di Siena Rome Masters on Saturday.
Things got off to a great start in the Italian capital with a win for Giulia Martinengo Marquet in the Land Rover prize against the clock over 1.45m. The Italian horse-woman rode to victory with her selle française Fixdesign Pop Lady d’Elle and came ahead of Britain’s William Whitaker in second with Glen Avadra Brilliant and USA’s Laura Kraut in third with Thalis de la Roque.
In the same trial, there were also strong finishes for fellow Italians Luca Maria Moneta (4th after a clear with Bonheur S), Filippo Moyersoen (8th after a clear with Loro Piana Canada), Riccardo Pisani (13th after 1 penalty with Chico Z) and Giampiero Garofalo (18th after 4 penalties with Stolberg della Verdina).

There was more success to report for the Azzurri later thanks to Juan Carlos Garcia, who won the small GP over 1.55m with jump-off with his selle française Moka de Mescam (Melkior du Montois). To make things even sweeter, Italy secured a 1-2 finish thanks to Emanuele Gaudiano, who took the runners-up spot with KWPN Admara 2.
The final podium slot went to US horse-woman Laura Kraut with Deauville S. In the top-ten we also find Massimiliano Ferrario with LP Rigoletto della Florida (For Pleasure) in 8th and after a faultless run.
