Italian stars shine in Mechelen

Silvia Stopazzini came second in the Belgian leg of the vaulting World Cup in Belgium. The Azzurri athlete was competing with Hot Date Take (longeur Laura Carnabuci) and finished second thanks to a score of 8.414. The winner meanwhile was Kristina de Boe with Dark Beluga (longeur Barbara Rosiny) with a score of 8.598.
In the Pas de Deux meanwhile Silvia Stopazzini and Lorenzo Lupacchini (longeur Laura Carnabuci) took the win with a score 8.768. Silvia and Lorenzo are now in second spot overall and are closing in on the leaders Zoe Maruccio and Syra Schmid.
Missing out however for Italy in Belgium was Italian icon Anna Cavallaro who had already qualified for the 2016/2017 final and leads the overall standings. In the men’s category Swiss athlete Lukas Heppler leads the way on 30 points while Italy’s best performer is Francesco Bortoletto in ninth.
