Italy suffer nightmare 15 minutes at Hickstead

The truth may be that Italy should not have entered the Super League or perhaps it was only a quarter of an hour of pure bad luck but the fact remains that a total of 63 penalty points at Hickstead is too much.  The best on the course was Emilio Biocchi who totalled 20 points for his faults, followed by Franco Francesco, 21 and Ligresti, 22. Gaudiano was eliminated.Also Switzerland suffered a difficult day as after the elimination of Liebherr the Swiss team finished with 49 penalty points.
At the other end of the table, France lead the way with Germany on 8 faults, while Ireland are in third with 20 penalty points.
