Italy’s riders have been in fine form over the past two days at the show-jumping competition taking place in Oliva Nova.
Riccardo Pisani jumped his way to third place with Diam o Gold in the Silver Tour category over two rounds. The competition, between 22 horse and rider combinations, was won by Britain’s  Joseph Davison.
There was also a third place finish for Emanuele Massimiliano Bianchi, but in the Accumulator trial, with Emo e Tiramsue. Fellow Italian Alberto Zorzi rode his way to eighth place in the same competition with Mezzaluna Tok. The winner meanwhile was Portugal’s Mario Wilson Fernandes with Kannan Kopf.
Moving on, and in the competition over 1.40m, Pisani continued his good form by collecting a fifth place finish with Freedom Van’t Heike. In the main event of the day on the other hand, Pisani came seventh with Cigo B. Alberto Zorzi followed behind in ninth place with Cipetto 2.
On Thursday, Silvia Bazzani gave a great performance with Corofin, taking second place in the medium trial over two rounds. Pisani came fourth with Freedom Van’t Heike, but celebrating victory was Britain’s Aston Chloe. In the following trial, Bazzani managed to claim another podium finish and ended up third with Clide 2.
