
Italy’s De Luca romps to victory in Canada

The annual CSIO5* Master Tournament Calgary in Spruce Meadows has kicked-off in style for Italy’s Lorenzo De Luca who won the Akita Drilling Cup over 1.60m with Limestone Grey.
Many of the best riders in the world are competing at the event in Canada as the anticipation now begins to rise for the second leg of the Grand Prix Rolex on Sunday.
What’s more, riders will also be in action for the Mercedes-Benz Evening of the Horse (Friday) and the BMO Nation’s Cup (Saturday).
Focusing back to the Akita Drilling Cup, here are the top-three:

The attention will now turn to the GP Rolex for an elite event and the BMO Nation’s Cup. On the subject of the latter, France will have two of their Olympic heroes in action: Kevin Staut and Roger-Yves Bost.
USA can count on Kent Farrington and McLain Ward while team GB can rely on Scott Brash who was the major absentee at the Olympics.
