Italian rider Gianni Govoni has ridden his way to his second victory at this year’s edition of the CSIO5* Rome after claiming the Corriere della Sera Prize earlier today.
Govoni was competing with Bobolensky, a horse with whom the Italian star has already won twice before on home soil during his career.
The Azzurri rider has been working with Bobolensky since the horse was five and the duo continue to go from strength to strength.
Michael Whitaker was second while Bruno Chimirri was third. The day however belonged to Govoni who has impressed after a 4 year absence from the equestrian event in the Italian capital.
