Italy’s Zorzi inspires Valkenswaard United to victory

The opening leg of the 2017 Global Champions League has been won by Valkenswaard United. The duo made up of Italy’s Alberto Zorzi and Ireland’s Bertram Allen rode home to victory in Mexico City after a head to head with St.Tropez Pirates. (Jerome Guery / Simon Delestre).
In joint third place meanwhile we find Chantilly Pegasus (Nicola Philippaerts / Martin Fuchs) and Miami Glory (Scott Brash / Paris Sellon). In addition to Alberto Zorzi there was another Italian rider in action in the form of Lorenzo De Luca who was competing with Abdel Said and helped the Rome Gladiators finish 11th.
