It’s official: Great Britain Young Rider is the strongest in Europe, Italy fourth
The Young Rider European Championships on the fields of Blair Castle finished with victory for the English team. With 169.2 negative points Great Britain left behind Ireland in second, with 178.9 and Germany, with 188.4 negative points, finished with bronze.
Behind them came Italy: Stefano Fioravanti on Nodin D’Orval, Carola Brighenti on Road Runner, Pietro Sandei on Mouse and Eleonora Boschi on Hotchkiss Mc Manus finished with a total of 201 negative points.
If England won the team award, Gemany won the individual as female rider Freya Fullgraebe on Oje Oje came in front of Willa Newton from England on Neelix and Ireland’s David Hannigan, who came in third on Red Baron. For Italy, a good eighth position for Stefano Fioravanti, who finished with 60.1 negative points.
