Julius Baer Spring Polo Gold Cup 2009 goes from strength to strength

Despite the final of the Julius Baer Spring Polo Gold Cup 2009 in Sardinia being cancelled due to bad weather, the event was another success overall.The beautiful Emerald coastline is home to the competition which brings together some of the best teams and players in the world and the head of PR and sponsorship Maurizio Zuliani was satisfied with the outcome.He said: “The tournament is always growing and it is rewarding to see that every passing year since 2006 creates an always greater synergy with between Sardinia and the world of horses. “There is a great understanding between the councils of Olbia and Arzachena and the local region towards the tournament.“There was plenty of satisfaction to be taken from the number of sponsors who have put their confidence in investing in the sport.President of Julius Baer Italy,  Fabrizio Rindi maintained it was part of his company’s strategy as the tournament in Sardinia had become part of the World Polo Tour.Committe organiser Claudio Giorgiutti claimed that Sardinia was really on the polo map as witnessed by the number of top-quality players who had participated.
