LAV to continue their fight for animal rights in 300 Italian towns and cities.
Volunteers from LAV (Lega Anti Vivisezione/ the Italian League against Vivisection) will be in over 300 Italian towns and cities this weekend to continue in their battle against animal cruelty and to promote animal rights which are often not sufficiently protected.
The volunteers will be looking to collect as many signatures as possible from the public and say enough to the use of animals being exploited for transport purposes in urban centres as well as trying to bring to an end the tolerance towards the use of animals for profit in shows and circuses. LAV is also petitioning to ensure that no more animals are tied up in chains or exploited in the practice of begging as well as continuing in the battle against hunting.
In addition, the group also want a veterinary accident and emergency centre, stricter regulation of animal rights and the promotion of a vegan diet. On the 6th, 7th and 8th of December, volunteers will be looking to collect signatures and harness support for the following causes in the following places:
NO MORE ANIMALS IN CHAINS
Alessandra, Cuneo, La Spezia, Bolzano, Trento, Catania.
STOP TO HORSE AND CARRIAGE
Verona and Rome.
END TO HUNTING
Milan, Monza, Brescia, Sondrio, Pavia, Treviso, Vicenza, Venice, Macerata, Fano (Pesaro Urbino), Grosseto.
END TO CIRCUSES WITH ANIMALS
PROTECTION OF ANIMAL RIGHTS
Bergamo, Mantova, Lecco, Turin, Trieste, Florence, Salerno, Vibo Valentia, Taranto.
