Scott Brash stole the show yesterday as the Flying Scotsman won the Cannes leg of the 2016 Longines Global Champions Tour.
The Scottish rider was competing with Hello Forever and together they outperformed the other three pairs that went through to the jump-off of a thrilling trial.
Following behind Brash, a two time winner of the LGCT, we find Edwina Tops Alexander and Daniel Deusser in second and third respectively.
Roger-Yves Bost on the other hand missed out on a podium finish in fourth place. See here for a full breakdown of the results: http://eventcontent.hippoonline.de/1182/sta_erg/13_ergENG.htm?style=long…
Despite his win, Brash still appears to be out of the running for the overall title and is in 22nd place with 64 points. Christian Ahlmann sits comfortably in first place on 209 points followed by Australia’s Edwina Tops-Alexander on 143 points. Bertram Allen of Ireland is third on 132 points. The rest of the top-ten is as follows:
4th Ludger Beerbaum GER 126
5th Rolf-Goran Bengtsson SWE 125
6th Daniel Bluman COL 120
7th Kevin Staut FRA 114
8th John Whitaker GBR 113
