
LGCT 2017: De Luca conquers Valkenswaard

Following on from the Italian triumphs at youth level, there is a victory to report for the Azzurri at senior level with Lorenzo De Luca on song at the Valkenswaard leg of the LGCT.
The Azzurri star finished in first place thanks to a time of 39.20 seconds and no faults at the jump-off at the global event in Holland.
De Luca was in action with Ensor de Litrange and beat the likes of Christian Ahlmann (second) and Maikel van der Vleuten (third) to claim victory.
As for the other Italian representative, Alberto Zorzi picked up four penalties for an 11th place finish with Fair Light van’T Heike.
After the latest leg of the tour, De Luca finds himself in fifth spot in the overall standings and hot on the heels of Van der Vleuten who is fourth.
Smolders stays in first place while trailing behind are Ahlmann in second and Italy’s Zorzi in third.
