Lorenzo De Luca makes World Cup Finals
Henrik von Eckermann may have been in great form in Gothenburg but the results have ensured that Lorenzo De Luca is in second place in the World Cup.It has been a great moment for the Italian rider who is on 67 points and will be present at the finals in Omaha from 27 March to 2 April as only leader Kevin Staut on 78 points is ahead of the Azzurri rider.Ireland’s Denis Lynch is on 64 points followed by von Eckermann, on 59. Ludger Beerbaum has 56 with Steve Guerdat and Guido Klatte on 47, the young German at 22 could well make the finals. Also in the running are Gregory Wathelet on 45 points, Dutch rider Leopold van Asten and France’s Simon Delestre (both on 44 points). The top 18 will make the finals and also hoping to be there are Carlos Enrique Lopez Lizarazo (COL), Holger Wulschner (GER), Marcus Ehning (GER), Max Kuhner (AUT), Sergio Alvarez Moya (ESP), Nicola Philippaerts (BEL) and Olivier Robert (FRA).Out of it are Scott Brash, Daniel Deusser and Christian Ahlmann, Penelope Leprevost and Marco Kutscher.
With no Deusser, De Luca will be the only representative from the Stephex Stables.Despite a win in Oslo Alberto Zorzi will not be there as he is in 34th place on 23 points.Full list: https://data.fei.org/Ranking/Search.aspx?rankingCode=S_WC&nfGroup=4001www.fei.org
