Lyon plays host to national finals for young horses.
The best talents that France has to offer were on all display yesterday at Equità Lyon for the national finals.
In the three year-old category, 68 horses were competing but emerging as the winner was Comely de l’Hallali, a grey mare daughter to Utrillo vd Heffinck, with a score of 16.96.
Comely de l’Hallali obtained the highest score in the free-jump combining flexibility, agility, physical strength and intelligence. The mare is also the regional champion winning the title in Chazey-sur-Ayn.
Coming in second place we find Chipie d’Avril (Chef Rouge) with a score of 16.50 and in third Catch Me if You Can (Quite Easy) with a score of 16.43.
Remaining on the subject of young horses, Lyon also staged the finals for the 4, 5 and 6 year olds.
Berezina Garette starred in the 4 year-old category with a total score over the two rounds of 147.5 with Jèremy Le Roy.
In the 5 year-old category, the winner was Ambre de Launay (from the stallion Oldenburg Lauterbach) and who is the grand-daughter on the mother’s side to Robin II Z.
Violine de Montsec, daughter to Indoctro, won the 6 year-old category with Jerome Hurel with a score of 149.5.
