Most innovative products at Equitana 2017

The 2017 Equitana Innovation Awards were held on March 21st and brought together some of the most interesting ideas in the horse industry.Ten ideas out of the 56 made it through the different categories. Viebrockreithallen GmbH’s Alexandra safety bumper won the Stable, Hall and Arena Construction category. Aimed at minimising the risk of injury due to hard-construction outdoor riding arenas the safety bumper can simply be mounted on top of existing systems.The award in Category 2 wents to the Pro-Equi Electronic Stable Label (ESL): in conjunction with the software behind it. It is a digital, battery-powered box sign. that displays key information in an easy-to-read format and can be changed when desired.In the safety and riding category the USG Unite Sportproducts Germany GmbH body protector came out on top. The flexible, honeycomb plates not only protect adults but can be worn by riders as young as three years old.
The new Sustainability category went to Jon Stubben GmbH a product that’s sustainable from several perspectives. The True Nature dressage saddle is made from high-quality olive leather. The tannin for the leather comes from the leaves of olive trees, which would otherwise simply fall to the ground and be burned during harvest.Source: www.equitana.com
