Nations Cup for young riders in action in Holland

Not only are the seniors in Nations Cup action but also the young riders who are in Holland from 30 May to 2 June.
The venue is Wierden which is the fifth event in the CSIO calendar following Opglabbeek (Belgium), Gorla Minore in April, at Fontainebleau in France and Lamprechtshausen in Austria in May.Italy are leading the standings with 180 points ahead of Germany 150 points and Sweden (130), with the Azzurri taking the podium at Gorla Minore and Lamprechtshausen, where on both occasions Giuseppe Forte’s team finished with an excellent second place.The team to beat in the children category is France who are in command of the standings on 270 points followed by Germany and Holland level on 245 points. Italy are fourth just 20 points behind with four stages to go including this week in Wierden.In the junior category it is  Belgium on 290 points who lead after their win at Fontainebleau, with Germany second on 225 points and France third with 220 points. Italy are again fourth just five points behind France.To finish, the Young Riders sees Switzerland out in front on 245 points but France are only five points off top while Belgium have 240 points and Italy sixth with 160 points.
