Onassis-de Miranda relationship in trouble

It seemed as if nothing could come between Athina Onassis and Affonso de Miranda Neto Alvaro but after 11 years of marriage the golden couple of showjumping seem to have hit the rocks.
It is a situation that also involves the equestrian business of both of them, to the point where Athina could well cancel her participation in the Rio Olympics this summer and that of her horses as well, which at the moment are managed by both in the family business.
The most likely outcome is that the horses will be handed over to Jan Tops in Valkenswaard, close to where the couple had set up their base.
Last week the couple had suffered a hard blow on their return from the event in La Baule when the trailer they were travelling with was involved in an accident that led to the death of one of the horses normally used by the daughter of Doda de Miranda. Not an easy episode to overcome especially when things at home are not as idyllic as they should be.
