Paolo Paini joins the Italian team quintet

There will be two changes in the Italian Team featuring in the Nations Cup on May 25th in Piazza di Siena, Rome.
Paolo Paini and Ottava Meraviglia di Ca’ San Giorgio will replace Lorenzo De Luca and Ensor de Litrange in the Azzurri quintet selected by Italian coach Duccio Bartalucci.
The Italian team now reads like this: Bruno Chimirri with Tower Mouche, Luca Marziani with Tokyo du Soleil, Emanuele Gaudiano with Caspar, Giulia Martinengo Marquet with Verdine SZ and Paolo Paini with Ottava Meraviglia di Ca’ San Giorgio.
The other substitution involves the horse-and-rider combinations for the individual classes, where Carlo Rogiani and Freestyle replace Antonio Alfonso and Chic Hin d’Hyrencourt.
Friday 25th will be a special day for the national equestrian sports. As announced, President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, will be present in the grandstand for the Nations Cup.
The winner among Canada, France, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, Netherlands, US, Sweden and Switzerland will receive the prize from the highest office in the Italian State.
The first round of the Nations Cup has been anticipated at 2.15pm to match with the President’s agenda.
The Aerobatic demonstration team has also confirmed an air exhibition on Piazza di Siena that afternoon to underline the Italian spirit. PRESS ROOM
The meeting with the Italian riders called-up to the Rome’s CSIO is fixed on Wednesday 23rd. The Azzurri, along with the FISE President Marco di Paola and Italy coach Duccio Bartolucci, will be available to be interviewed at the Piazza di Siena press room, starting from 2.15pm.
