Paris walks proud: major event confirmed in the French capital.
The city of Paris is keeping its chin-up, showing immense strength and courage, two features that have distinguished the French people for centuries, despite the tragic events of last week.
The splendid, charming and above all proud and heroic French capital now wants to look ahead, fight for its liberty with its people just like the city has done in the past. A clear sign of this has come by confirming the first leg of the Longines Masters Grand Slam which is set for the 3-6 December in Paris.
Since the very first editions of this indoor tournament, it has been one of the stand out events on the equestrian calendar and jewel in the crown for Europe alongside the Parisian exhibition, the Salon du Cheval de Paris, which is held at the same time.
The green light for the tournament was given yesterday in an announcement by the event organising committee, EEM Team, who also extended their condolences to the victims of the Paris attacks and their families.
The solidarity shown by the rest of the world following the tragic events that shook Paris have not gone unnoticed by the French people who have received messages of unity from all over the globe.
With this in mind, the organising committee want this year’s edition more than any other to be a celebration of respect, courage and tolerance through sport.
The Salon du Cheval de Paris and the Longines Grand Slam will be taking place as always in the exhibition halls of the Parc des Expositions in Villepinte and EEM Team have assured there will be extra security measures and all will be closely monitored by the French authorities.
