PIAZZA DI SIENA. Hippogroup Capannelle Cup to McLain Ward
It is always scintillating to see fifteen competitors engaged in a barrage as if it were a little Grand Prix, no space for errors as time is off the essence. Riding better than the rest in the Premio Hippogroup Roma Capannelle was USA’s McLain Ward, who had won the first event of the Rome CSIO. On Rothchild, Ward finished in 37“19 to beat off Australian Edwina Alexander (38“37) on Cevo Socrates, Janne-Friederike Meyer (38“39) on Chika’s Way and Italian Fabio Brotto (39“31) on Master. Of the other Italians competing, Natale Chiaudani’s 6th place on Snai Gratina and 10th place for Lorenzo Toscano on Rinaldo 163 are worth noticing.
