Power trial finishes at 2.10 meters

The power trial, otherwise known as the wall or the circus race of the CSIO in Rome saw nine horses start, all from Italy. All the foreign riders present at the event preferred to avoid putting their horses through such a punishing trial with so many risks. The crowd gathered was less compared to recent years but the watching public cheerd nonetheless for the those riders involved. Victory, at a height of 2.10 meters, went to Antonio Alfonso, riding Challeng Z, Emanuele Gaudiano on Italic des Salines and Marco Mantella with M.Menelao di C. Porziano who all overcame the height. Of course all three attempted 2.20 but failed.
