
Rio 2016: Jung defends Olympic gold

Michael Jung has successfully defended his Olympic crown in the eventing discipline with his trusted mount Sam FBW.Nicolas Astier pushed him all the way, but had to be happy with the silver medal following a score of 42.00. Australia’s Christopher Burton claimed third place with a score of 45.60.
As for the Italian representatives, the highest ranked Azzurri rider was Pietro Roman in 24th. Arianna Schivo was 34th, Luca Roman 40th while Stefano Brecciaroli was eliminated.

In the team event, France claimed victory ahead of Germany who had to settle for the silver medal. Following behind in third were Australia.
Team France were made up as follows: Thibaut Vallette, Astier Nicolas, Karim Laghouag and Mathieu Lemoine
