Rio de Janeiro GCT sees Govoni and Ligresti in the Grand Prix

Italian show jumping must look afar to see what is happening on August 1st. As far as Brazil where in Rio de Janeiro the seventh leg of the Global Champions Tour is being held with the participation of Gianni Govoni and Jonella Ligresti. Considering the difficult period the Italian riders are encountering, the show jumping sector is hanging on to the coattails of Govoni in particular, but also Ligresti, for the points earned recently on tour. The Grand Prix starts at 13:45 local time (18:45 CET) and it will be Jonella on Quintero 4 the first of the two Italians to jump in 11th place then 23 places further down it will be Gianni’s turn on Joyau d’Opal. There are 42 riders and horses overall in the first round of the Global Champions Tour Grand Prix, which is currently led by Patrick McEntree on 61 points.
