Road to Rio 2016: Dirk Demeersman monitoring Belgian riders.

The new coach of the Belgian show-jumping team, Dirk Demeersman, has set out the team’s objectives for the season while also defining the selection criteria.
Obviously, the main event on the horizon is the European Championships in Aachen (19-23 August) and qualification to the Olympics in Rio is also dependent on how they perform at the championships.
Ahead of that, Demeersman is monitoring the performances and results from the various CSI3*,CSI4* and CSI5* events and in particular he will be paying attention to the following criteria:
– only results over the coming 12 months will be considered (starting from January 2015)
– only the best 10 results from 4 and 5 star events and GPs
– only the best 5 results from 3, 4 and 5 star events and GPs
