Rome CSIO: the participants from Italy

The official press-conference ahead of the 82nd edition of the Rome CSIO is scheduled for tomorrow. This year’s edition of the event will also include a new trial dedicated to the D’Inzeo brothers: the Master Fratelli D’Inzeo.
A total of 23 Italian riders have been called-up and will be taking part in the Italian capital: Lorenzo De Luca (Elky vh Indihof), Francesco Franco (Banca Popolare di Bari Cassandra), Emanuele Gaudiano (Cocoshynsky), Luca Maria Moneta (Neptune Brecourt), Filippo Moyersoen (Loro Piana Canada) are the members called-up by head coach Hans Horn. The following meanwhile will be taking part in the individual category: Antonio Alfonso (Qumran de Felines), Roberto Arioldi (Loreena 3), Piergiorgio Bucci (Casallo Z), Roberto Cristofoletti (Flavourart Belisario), Massimiliano Ferrario (Loro Piana Acamar), Juan Carlos Garcia (Blue Boy v. Berkenbroek), Giulia Martinengo Marquet (Funke van’t Heike), Filippo Martini di Cigala (Pupillo dell’Esercito Italiano). In addition to the aforementioned riders, Italy’s Youth Sector coach Gianluca Bormioli has called up the following from the Young Riders category: Emanuele Massimiliano Bianchi (Cupido Z), Filippo Marco Bologni (Fixdesign Chopin), Nicolò Vincenzo Callerio (Darius).
Of the Italian riders taking part, 4 have made it thanks to their podium finishes in the Italian Championships: David Sbardella (Triomphe van Schuttershoef), Fabio Brotto (R-Gitana), Paolo Adamo Zuvadelli (Walestro vh Bloemenhof) and Andrea Messersì (Cayphas Z). Finally, the following have been called up (without access to the Rome GP): Emilio Bicocchi (Ares), Natale Chiaudani (Quicka) and Lucia Vizzini (Romie). Roberto Previtali (Lucaine) is on the reserve list.
