Show jumping: Filippo Moyersoen chats to HSJ.TV
Continuing the round of interviews with Italian riders ahead of the CSIO at Villa Borghese, we meet Filippo Moyersoen. The Azzurri star first attended the world-famous event in Piazza di Siena back in 1978 and remembered the occasion as being “very emotional.“He said: The Irish rider Eddie Macken on Boomerang won and even though I finished fifth on a seven-year-old I will always remember it as a very emotional occasion.“I also remember 1985 because I finished second on Adam.“Moyersoen does not believe that the jumps which mirror famous landmarks and monuments in the capital will cause the horses any problems.“They used to different shapes and colours every day so it is pretty normal,“ he said. “The jumps are made from the finest materials and even the sponsorship livery does not worry them.“As for the mounts: “I will bring two horses. One is around two months and is of German origin which I like a lot. “The other is 15 and is a very experienced Italian horse which I have always had a lot of affection for. He’s a little small but has a big heart and came from the Santamarta stud.“He has had good results in the past in international events and I will look to do well with him in Rome as well.“
