Over 120 horses were involved for the opening ceremony for the 2017 FEI European Championships in Gothenburg. The competitions meanwhile are already underway and on Monday athletes were in action with the paradressage.
Yesterday there were the first appearances of those in the show-jumping for the official training while today athletes will be competing for both the team and individual event.
Also taking place today is the final stage of the paradressage with the individual freestyle Grade I, II and III. In the latter category keep an eye out on Italy’s Sara Morganti who has a real chance of winning a medal.
Focusing back to show-jumping, the first phase of the individual qualifying has already started. Italy’s  Alberto Zorzi has already been in action with Cornetto K (81.34 seconds) along with fellow Italians Emilio Bicocchi with Sassicaia Ares (85.07 seconds), Lorenzo De Luca with Armitages Boy (87.18 seconds) and Luca Marziani with Tokyo du Soleil (90.15 seconds).
