The second consecutive race day was an intense affair in Cin Cin Land with the prizes for the Children (12-14 years), Juniors (14-18 years) e Young Riders (18-21years), along with the CSI Pony and the National Pony being decided.  Over 150 horses were involved with the intention of dominating the event but in the end it was the riders, both male and female, from Switzerland who took home many of the prizes. “It was a chance to see the horses of the future,” said the president of the Equestrian society, Giuseppe Scavo “and a chance for them to compete at the highest level. Pity that the weather conditions were poor especially on the last day.”As always secretary Alain Bertani’s management of the event was as immaculate as ever.
Results: The Swiss youngster Estelle Pascal on Kemir De Boisy won first prize in the first category (juniors – young riders 115) followed by a fellow national Fabien Affentranger, on Twilight. In the second category (juniors – young riders 125) it was Britain’s Florence Bellm on Old Mill Alibi who took the first step of the podium ahead of the Swiss girl Jessica Aellen on Capture de Vautenaivre. The top three were all foreign speakers as the Italian Chiara Magnocavalli came in fourth. Even in the third category (130 juniors) it was a Slovakian rider who claimed top spot, Lea Vrabelova on the saddle of Tancosno. An Italian name did make it on the podium of the fourth category (135 juniors – young riders), that of Carolina Bertero on Galicores Apollo, ahead of the already mentioned Florence Bellm. In the fifth category (140 young riders) another Swiss, Jean Maurice Brahier, took top spot. The Swiss dominated the pony event also. The 115 went to Emilie Paillot as did the 125, while the 120 went to Marion Haeberli. In the National Pony A victory went to Vanessa Di Gregorio in the B80 precision category. To Matilde Spina in the B90 obstacle category on Macou de Beva, to Sebastiano Uboldi in the B100 time trial, to Umberto Donati in the B105 time trial, to Barbara Giugno in the B110 time trial. In the C115 consecutive first place went to Alice Medusei on Scarlet Hill. In the Children’s category Giavanni Fornasier was victorious on Arsenic in the C115 consecutive. Now the focus will be on the Easter contest, a national Pony event once again organised for the young riders in a CSI contest that promises new hope.
