Great Britain have jumped their way to victory at the Rome leg of the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup. The British riders gave a sensational performance to overcome the stiff competition to take the victory in the Italian capital ahead of USA and France who finished joint-second.

Italy meanwhile failed to build on a strong start in the first round, which had taken them to fourth spot in the provisional standings, and in the second round a host of errors cost the Azzurri dear and they slid all the way down to seventh place. This is how team Italy lined up: Emanuele Gaudiano with Caspar (0 / 8), Lorenzo De Luca with Ensor de Litrange (4 / 4), Emilio Bicocchi with Ares (4 discarded / 16 discarded) and Piergiorgio Bucci with Casallo Z (0 / 8).
Focusing back to the winners, GB have now won back to back editions of the Rome event having also conquered the Italian capital last year. Looking ahead, the Engel & Völkers Palm Beach, FL. e Intesa Sanpaolo GP is the standout event today and gets going from 15.30.
