Team Sardinia in great form in Rome

The representatives from Sardinia impressed at the eighth edition of the Italian Championships for riders with mental disabilities in Rome where they won three gold medals, one silver and also claimed a fifth place finish.
Tor di Quinto in Rome staged the event and the excellent results achieved by the team from Sardinia, Capuano di Alghero, saw the Islanders claim second spot in the overall standings.
A host of the best riders from each region in Italy went head to head at the capital event in the disciplines of Dressage and Gimkana with Paolo Mura, Giovanni Delrio, Alessio Madeddu and Costantino Manunta meanwhile the fantastic four that flew the flag high for Sardinia.
Special praise goes to Paolo Mura on winning the Dressage Category 3 Advanced which also guarantees a place at the 2017 International Championships.
The good Equestrian World doesn’t end there for the representatives from Sardinia: Giovanni Delrio won the Dressage Category 3 Elementary, Alessio Madeddu won the Dressage Category 2 Advanced and Costantino Manunta just missed out on a podium finish in the Gimkana level 1.
