The arrival of Cornetto K leaves Jan Tops thinking.
Jan Tops is continuing to add top-class jumpers to his stables. After last year’s acquisition of the 10 year-old BWP First Devision for Qatar’s Ali Bin Khalid Al Thani, the Dutchman has now brought in a mount of German origins in the form of Cornetto K, son to the renowned and efficient stallion Cornet Obolensky who had been competing previously with Brazil’s Yuri Mansur Guerios.
Cornetto K is a 9 year-old gelding but as is the custom when it comes to the Dutch horse owner, he hasn’t as yet revealed who will be paired with the mount, whether it will go to his set of riders in Valkenswaard or another partner team. However, the man behind the LGCT has revealed the new addition will be given a period of rest before being placed with a new rider following a long and demanding season. One of the options could be Italy’s Alberto Zorzi, who has been based at Valkenswaard for a few months now, and time will now tell after the necessary and due reflections from Tops on this promising Hannover mount.
