The CSI3* Grand Prix Redefin goes to Michael Kölz
Isabel Freese wins the CDI3* Grand Prix Kür
For the second time after 2015, home rider Michael Kölz secured victory in the CSI3* Grand Prix Deutsche Kreditbank AG at the Redefin Horse Festival. Riding the 11-year-old bay Cellato (by Cellestial x Calato), he finished the first round of the Longines Ranking class and, first to go in the barrage, executed a particularly fast second lap, winning the category. The GP counted a total of 44 pairs to start and only 10 finished the first round with a clear round, getting the chance to return in the field for the jump-off. Only four other pairs completed the main class of the final day with a double clear, and among these there was Germany’s Andre Thieme, riding Candid 14, a 2012 gelding (by Cellestial x Converter), who finished the second lap in just 41.56 seconds to take second place. Japan’s Eiken Sato, on Chadellano JRA, completed the podium after crossing the jump-off line in 42.76 seconds.
