THE FIVE BEST RIDERS IN THE WORLD (AMONG OTHERS) WILL COME FACE TO FACE THIS WEEKEND IN GRIMAUD

After a week of 4* competition, the HUBSIDE FALL TOUR will be playing host to its third CSI 5* show of the season (out of the four organised in the world, since the lockdown ended). The five best riders in the world are expected in Grimaud’s ring: in total, twenty-two of the riders present this weekend on the French Riviera are featured in the World top 30!  This year, Grimaud has definitely been the capital of show jumping at its highest level.  And it’s not over: next week the final CSI 5* outdoor show of the year will be taking place in Grimaud again.

Although the five best riders in the world are now familiar with the HUBSIDE JUMPING, its huge ring, its high-level facilities and its friendly atmosphere, not all of them have experienced the same level of success there.  Steve Guerdat, the World number one, 2012 Olympic individual gold medallist and three-time winner of the FEI World Cup Final is the rider who has been the most successful at the French Riviera show.   The rider from the Swiss canton of Jura, who will be competing in the CSI 2* and the CSI 5* this weekend, will be keen to notch up a fourth or even a fifth Hubside Grand Prix victory, after three previous wins there: once in the 5* Grand Prix in July, with Victorio des Frotards, and twice in the 2* Grands Prix, with Ulysse des Forêts. This weekend, the Swiss rider is back in Grimaud with Victorio, his star horse with four 5* Grand Prix victories in 2020!Daniel Kolroff
