The Marche region takes the Junior Cup

Andrea Messersì was overjoyed with the Youth Cup at Piazza Di Siena and could hardly contain his happiness.The instructor had just watched four of the riders he had trained, all from the Girasole Equestrian Center, ride to glory in the Junior event.Paolo Pompilio, Laura Pignocchi, Enrico and Bettina Durazzi all rode with precision to finish the eight trials over tow days without any penalties. Tuscany came second in the event, also without picking up penalties, but with an overall higher time.Third was the region of Emilia Romagna with a total of four penalties. The only sour note of the event was the early starting time that robbed the riders of a decent round of applause from a full crowd instead of just a few cheers from family members.
