Tinka’s Serenade retires.

Tinka’s Serenade, a long-time companion of rider Billy Twomey, has retired from competitive action at the age of 19.
Rider Twomey bid farewell to the splendid mare, thanking it for the incredible displays in an extraordinary career. This includes a sensational win in Paris in 2011 as well as numerous GP victories such as the ones in Basle and Zurich.
Tinka’s Serenade represented Ireland at the 2012 Olympics, European Championships in 2011 and WEG in 2010. The horse was also on song on several occasions in the Nations Cup for Ireland and can lay claim to 18 clears.
What’s more, Tinka’s Serenade was part of the team that won the bronze medal at the CSIO Barcelona final in 2013.
