Toscana Endurance Lifestyle 2016 returns to San Rossore

We are back at the Hippodrome of San Rossore, in beautiful Tuscany, following the events of last weekend where the young Costanza Laliscia was crowned Italian champion for 2016.
Around 90 participants from all over the world (France, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Spain, Argentina, Algeria, USA, Arab Emirates and Qatar) are expected for this second round of racing. The most important even is the 120km which is dominated by female riders who have always competed at the same level as the men and will be taking part in an all female competition. Amalia Meschinelli, Daniela Blasi, Patrizia Giacchero, Chiara Marrama, Melania Serioli, Simona Garatti the Origgi sisters and Chiara Rosi are some of the many champions of the past.
The event has also highlighted the extreme care and controls carried out by the vets on the horses in order to make sure that the animals are not suffering needlessly in what is such a tough sport.
