Two silver medals for Arezzo at Italian Youth Championship

Umbria won two silver medals at the Italian Youth Championship at the Arezzo Equestrian Centre between July 10 and 12. Fourteen-year-old Maria Poddi who is trained by Gianluca Quondam at the Regno Verde di Narni riding centre, won the emerging national youth trophy on Ippon. The prestigious silver medal in the 2009 Italian Technical Grade 2 class went to Circolo Ippico Valvasone thanks to instructor Beniamino Capurso, born in Naples on 27/07/1979, but an adopted Umbrian. Beniamino, who is known as Mino, works at Magione under vice-president of the Umbria Regional FISE, Massimiliano Di Valvasone with 30 other youth riders and took second place on the grey Acanto, shired by Acrobat I who is owned by Elena Di Valvasone.
